Sony Ericsson T715 vs LG BL20 Chocolate- Latest phones with best features !

One often looks for a phone that scores well in every department. Picking one handset hence, does not sound all that difficult. In case of Sony Ericsson T715 and the LG BL20 Chocolate, the situation is different altogether. These are two of the latest as well as the finest handsets by these prominent manufacturers. The former handset possesses handy dimensions of 91.5 x 48 x 14.9 mm and with a weight of 96 grams, this handset is way lighter than the 115 gram and 106.9 x 50.8 x 12.3 mm latter handset. On the display front, both handsets come with TFT screens that display 256K colours at a resolution of 240x320 pixels.

The phones are the latest and best-in-market as far as technology is concerned as well. Both handsets are 3G HSDPA enabled. However, the LG phone provides 2G GSM compatibility in three bands, as opposed to the Sony Ericsson handset, that provides 2G support in all four GSM bands. Also, the former handset has class 12 GPRS and EDGE enabled whereas the latter handset features class 10 GPRS and EDGE features.

With both phones, there is plenty on the plate as far as entertainment is concerned. The LG BL20 Chocolate has a 5MP camera with Schneider-Kreuznach optics, autofocus and an LED flash. The Sony Ericsson T715 on the other hand, come with a 3.15MP camera with an LED flash. A 90 MB internal memory is provided with this handset with scope for expansion. Whereas, the LG phone comes with a 60MB internal memory and a microSD card slot for expansion up to 16GB.

Battery backup is one important aspect of any phone. Both phones deliver on this front too. The LG handset is powered by a 900 mAh Li-Ion battery that provides 450 hours of standby and over 300 minutes of talk time. The Sony Ericsson handset on the other hand, uses a 950 mAH Li-Po battery which when fully charged, offers up to 350 hours of 3G stand by and 4 hours of 3G talk time.

Battery backup aside, the handset also offers a number of applications like Google Maps, access to YouTube as well as Sony's famous TrackID, by virtue of which one can get all the information one needs about a song heard on the radio or present in the phone memory.

With these power-packed handsets, its not all about the differences between them. There are a significant number of common features as well. Both feature latest music and video players, voice memo, Bluetooth, USB, messaging features of SMS, MMS, E-mail, Instant Messaging, WAP 2.0 Internet browser and video recording. Hence, between Sony Ericsson T715 and the LG BL20 Chocolate, it is difficult to pick a clear winner as both have advantages and disadvantages of their own.
